SDGs Week EXPO 2025

Starlite exhibited the "Safe and Secure Toilet Project for Emergencies" at the Disaster Preparedness Toilet Exhibition/Comfortable Toilet Exhibition, a special exhibition within SDGs Week EXPO 2025 held at Tokyo Big Sight from Wednesday, December 10 to Friday, December 12.

Major challenges arise from deteriorating toilet conditions during a disaster, resulting in health risks and daily anxiety. In collaboration with local governments, companies, and schools, this project aims to prepare toilet facilities that anyone can use with peace of mind during a disaster. This exhibition offered attendees a shared opportunity to think about safe and secure toilet conditions by displaying our latest activities and offering hands-on experience with emergency toilets designed to ensure safety, security, and comfort, even during a disaster.

Students from Salesian International Junior and Senior High School Setagaya, our partner in disaster preparedness activities, helped explain the exhibition. They actively promoted the importance of being prepared and explained portable toilets to attendees in their own words. Attendees responded with comments such as "The instructions for using portable toilets were easy to understand" and "It gave me a chance to rethink being prepared in case of a disaster", creating opportunities for students and attendees to share their knowledge of disaster preparedness.
