Brandnew Info - 17/12/2020STARLITE has developed 100% fibre high temperature resistant mat and began its sales.
Wear of the 100% fibre high-temperature resistant mat (TT Material) is approximately 1/100 of the felt heat-resistant sliding material, and the new material together with reuse service makes it possible to reduce the consumable cost and the material waste significantly.
<Action for Sustainable Manufacturing Site>
Problems of heat-resistant felts, used in the severe manufacturing environment above 300 degrees Celsius with sliding mechanism in the aluminium, iron, steel and non-ferrous metal industries, are its short life span and possible contact damage on the mating part.
TT Material wear is approximately 1/100 (based on our material wear comparison test) of more commonly used heat-resistant felts. As such, attrition and fibre drop are suppressed, making the product life longer and improving the work environment.
Furthermore, used TT material can be recycled (collect, resew and reuse).This can lead to realising sustainable manufacturing sites by significantly reducing the material waste. (Please note that there are certain conditions for collecting, resewing and reusing.)
<Cost Advantage>
Cost advantage of heat-resistant fibre that prevents contact damage
Based on the verification tests, the cost saving is more than 350,000 yen (50%) per sheet annually compared to the conventional material.
<Function>
Decreased aggression to mating part
Aggression to the mating part is less than the PBO felt because it prevents aluminium from deformation and damage especially after extrusion moulding.
Excellent wear resistance and reduced attrition and fibre drop
With the conventional felt, fibre drop and attrition at the tip of short fibre occur simultaneously. In contrast, the newly developed fibre (multi-layered material) is sheared by repetitive friction and wear progresses from the tip of the sheared fibre with the multi-layered weaving. The multi-layered TT Material has excellent wear resistance and its structure makes it difficult to cause attrition and fibre drop.
Hypoallergenic and wear-resistant and heat-resistant material compared to glass fibre material
TT material does not use glass fibre and wear dust do not spread much, contributing to maintain the clean work environment as well as to reduce the frequency of heat-resistant fibre.
